Devil's Throat Waterfall

sea, will enchant you with its full vegetation, the deep blue of the sea, white beaches and the friendly people. In Iguassu, you will
see the breathtaking and impressive waterfalls, still completely untouched surrounded by tropical rainforest.
You will discover pure nature in Iguassu with its impressive waterfalls, still completely untouched in the middle of the tropical rainforest. Another highlight of Brazil is Salvador da Bahia, strolling on one of the marvellous white beaches seems like a long-lasting dream. And all along your tour will be accompanied by Samba rhythms which seem to be in the air, everywhere and in everybody.
YOUR TOUR ITINERARY IN RIO DE JANEIRO, IGUASSU AND SALVADOR DA BAHIA
- DAY 1 – Rio de Janeiro (Saturday)
Transfer airport/hotel
Upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro, you will be met and transferred from the airport to the hotel.
Middle class: Overnight at Hotel Premier (***) or similar (standard rooms).
Comfort class: Overnight at Hotel Excelsior Copacabana (****) or similar (standard rooms).
- DAY 2 - Rio de Janeiro (Sunday)
Half day city tour and Sugar Loaf Mountain.
Rio at Night
During a half day city tour guests will be shown the most important sights of Rio. Drive along the Guanabara Bay and Flamengo Park
as far as downtown. Visit the downtown area, passing by the financial, business centre and by other attractions such as the
Candelaria Church, Saint Sebastian Cathedral, Lapa Arches, Municipal Theatre, National Library, Fine Arts Museum, and by the
Sambadrome, site of Rio's famous Carnival parade. Proceed to the Urca District to board a cable car for a two-staged ascent
up the famous Sugar Loaf Mountain.

Evening at leisure.
- DAY 3 – Rio de Janeiro – Iguassu (Monday)
Transfer hotel/airport. Flight GIG/IGU (not included). Transfer airport/hotel. Visit Brazilian falls (approx. 2,5 hours).
In the morning you will leave Rio de Janeiro and take a flight to Iguassu. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and check-in. Iguassu is one of the biggest wonders of nature in South America: located amidst a sub-tropical forest in the triangle of Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil, a gigantic row of waterfalls goes down into the river Iguassu.
Visit the Brazilian side of the falls. Leaving from the hotel by coach and crossing Iguassu National Park as far as the Brazilian Falls. Walk along the paths following cascades and then along the catwalk that leads very close to the bottom of the Devil's Throat. Enjoy magnificent views. Taking an elevator to go up to the road, and there boarding the coach to get back to the hotel.

Comfort class: Dinner and Overnight at Hotel das Cataratas (****) or similar (superior rooms).
- DAY 4 - Iguassu (Tuesday)
Visit Argentinean falls (approx. 4 hours).
Iguassu Falls
Visit of the Argentinean side of the falls. Depart from the hotel on the Brazilian side for a drive and a quick customs check,
cross the Tancredo Neves bridge over the Iguassu River, which forms the border between Argentina and Brazil. Once in Argentina,
the tour takes a scenic highway up the Argentinean Iguassu National Park and a visit to the Argentinean falls. Stop at the Visitors' Centre
and proceed from there along the Superior Circuit, the up-river cascades, to the Inferior Circuit, the down-river falls and then
take the Ecological Jungle Train that leads visitors to and from the most impressive observation point of the falls - The Devil's
Throat. Return to the hotel.

- DAY 5 - Iguassu – Salvador (Wednesday)
Package ending at the airport. Flight IGU/SSA (not included). Transfer airport/hotel.
After breakfast a transfer is provided to the airport to catch your flight to Salvador da Bahia. Upon arrival pick-up and transfer to the hotel.
Middle class: Overnight at Hotel Sol Barra (***) or similar (standard rooms).
Comfort class: Overnight at Hotel Pestana Bahia (****) or similar (standard rooms).
- DAY 6 – Salvador da Bahia (Thursday)
Half day city tour (3 hours).
After breakfast, the group will leave for a morning sightseeing tour. The historical centre of Salvador, now a national monument and also protected by UNESCO is the highlight of any tour to Salvador. Salvador da Bahia is famous for its tradition and Afro-Brazilian customs. Guests will see the colourful buildings, baroque style churches and convents dating from the 17th and 18th century. The afternoon is free for leisure.
In the evening the following optional can be booked on request: Optional Bahia by night (Show and dinner).

- DAY 7 - Salvador da Bahia (Friday)
Transfer hotel/airport.
Transfer from the hotel to the airport for your departure flight. Alternatively an extension programme can be arranged upon request.
